When a new corporate building is being planned, and AV systems need to be designed for all of the meeting spaces, the company’s IT and AV decision makers may want the AV interconnected throughout the building to allow presentation sessions over multiple meeting rooms, and share centralized AV resources such as video conferencing codecs. They may also request audio capabilities in many of the meeting rooms that would include microphones and digital signal processing (DSP).
In such setups, a networked AV platform allows highly versatile interconnection and switching between a large number of sources and displays. With the Dante Networked Audio Interface, microphones and other audio sources can be integrated alongside AV over the same network. The mics can then be processed by a Dante-enabled DSP in the same room, or incorporated into a facility-wide Dante audio system. The audio interfaces can also work with an AV decoder for processing de-embedded audio, and embed Dante audio for playback through a display.
